Wireless DVR: A Very Popular Tool Against Crime
February 27, 2010![]()
Over the last few months I have seen a steady rise in sales from my store of wireless DVR kits. DVR stands for digital video recorder. This wireless receiver allows you to record motion in either AVI or jpeg format to a SD card. These wireless DVR kits can accommodate up to 4 wireless cameras and you can mix and match ie 2 indoor cameras and 2 outdoor cameras or which ever your needs are. This makes this wireless technology both versatile and very affordable at the same time.
I have been fielding all sorts of questions, people are very happy to learn they can easily integrate the wireless DVR in to their preexisting wireless camera configuration. As long as your system matches the 2.4 Ghz DVR you can use it with any wireless camera in that same spectrum. You see it does not matter how many receivers you have, you can have one on each TV set, so adding a wireless DVR is no issue. Something to think about, a painless way to beef up your wireless security system.
A bit of information on the wireless DVR

The wireless DVR (which stands for digital video recorder) is a low cost, yet effective tool in recording what is happening when you are away or sleeping. Even some of the basic models will record either in avi format (video) or take pictures in jpeg format. A 2Gig SD card will run for about a week (on the picture setting) It will also depend on how the wireless DVR is set up such as sensitivity to motion and so on. The SD card, quite often will just record over it’s self (looping) so you don’t have to mess with it once you have it set up the way you want. The wireless DVR can be plugged into your TV for easy viewing using a RCA type cable. This unit is really simple to use and set up. It may take a bit of tweaking until you have it the way you want, you can run up to 4 wireless cameras on the DVR and have it auto switch between them so you can cover all 4 zones. For the price it’s not a bad way to go. Should you have any question please just email them to me.
Wireless DVRs are great for securing remote locations

From time to time there are situations that require surveillance, yet it would be impractical to wire up a sting of cameras. Situations such as construction sites and homes that are being built. So often job sites become victims of thieves looking for a quick easy target such as tools and quite often they will steal doors and even bathtubs right out of homes that are still under construction. This is a perfection situation for a wireless DVR and some wireless cameras since as long as you have power you can mount the cameras any where to watch the job site at night. In the event anything goes missing you will now have recourse. This is a very affordable method to fight crime in a passive mannerism.

Of almost all of the home security measures you can employ. I can think of none that is more effective and less evasive then the use of a wireless camera security system. Alarm systems can’t see whats going on and dogs can be noisy among other issues. With a wireless DVR and a few wireless security cameras placed around your property, you can be sure if any thing should happen, you will have the evidence needed to catch the perps. The police just love having a nice picture of the perp they are looking for, this makes there job easier and better odds of catching the bad guy! This method of home security is probably the most cost effective method available today. Something to think about, maybe for your home or for a loved one. Why not a wireless DVR.
