The wireless DVR (which stands for digital video recorder) is a low cost, yet effective tool in recording what is happening when you are away or sleeping. Even some of the basic models will record either in avi format (video) or take pictures in jpeg format. A 2Gig SD card will run for about a week (on the picture setting) It will also depend on how the wireless DVR is set up such as sensitivity to motion and so on. The SD card, quite often will just record over it’s self (looping) so you don’t have to mess with it once you have it set up the way you want. The wireless DVR can be plugged into your TV for easy viewing using a RCA type cable. This unit is really simple to use and set up. It may take a bit of tweaking until you have it the way you want, you can run up to 4 wireless cameras on the DVR and have it auto switch between them so you can cover all 4 zones. For the price it’s not a bad way to go. Should you have any question please just email them to me.

From time to time there are situations that require surveillance, yet it would be impractical to wire up a sting of cameras. Situations such as construction sites and homes that are being built. So often job sites become victims of thieves looking for a quick easy target such as tools and quite often they will steal doors and even bathtubs right out of homes that are still under construction. This is a perfection situation for a wireless DVR and some wireless cameras since as long as you have power you can mount the cameras any where to watch the job site at night. In the event anything goes missing you will now have recourse. This is a very affordable method to fight crime in a passive mannerism.

If you are looking for a wireless camera solution for your home or office, it should be duly noted that when it comes to cameras you get what you pay for. These basically means if you go cheap you may be disappointed. Not to say that there are some good value packages out here that provide decent wireless cameras for a good price, but I would be extremely weary as a consumer on any one that is promoting cheap wireless cameras because that more often than not is what they really are, CHEAP. I have tested many different types, brands and sizes and I have seen drastic difference in low end to even the middle of the road wireless cameras. Most cheap wireless cameras have poor picture quality some times to the point where you can’t even tell whats in the picture. Another thing to watch out for is any wireless cameras that are not at least 2.4 GHz, due to the nature of wireless camera technology you can get noise interference. It is much more apparent with the 1.2 GHz and even more so with the analogue 900 MHz and the range is much less as well. This is not to say that these types don’t have there place for some applications, my point here is to be informed and if you can, spend a bit more. This is for your own security so I would say it would be wise to investigate a bit before you buy.
Black Berry, G3 and Wireless IP Cameras
January 25, 2010
I just bought a new Black Berry Bold 9700. It is the slickest phone that being said being on the G3 networks I can seamless view my wireless IP cameras virtually any where in the world. Between WiFi and the cellular network I can always check in on my property to see whats how things are going. My wireless IP cameras also informs me of any activity on the property by way of email. The camera will send photos of the activity right to my cell phone. This is super handy for security and also for safety. Talk about peace of mind
Wireless DVRS, a great way to secure you yard for low cost.

Of almost all of the home security measures you can employ. I can think of none that is more effective and less evasive then the use of a wireless camera security system. Alarm systems can’t see whats going on and dogs can be noisy among other issues. With a wireless DVR and a few wireless security cameras placed around your property, you can be sure if any thing should happen, you will have the evidence needed to catch the perps. The police just love having a nice picture of the perp they are looking for, this makes there job easier and better odds of catching the bad guy! This method of home security is probably the most cost effective method available today. Something to think about, maybe for your home or for a loved one. Why not a wireless DVR.

Wireless IP cameras good for home security
January 16, 2010
In this day and age most house holds have both parents at work. This being said it can be hard to leave your children at home after school on their own. This is a great use for a wireless IP camera as you can keep an eye on them form work using your smart phone or PC. A wireless IP camera can also give your children the ability to see who is at the front door before answering it. All though it’s not quite the same as a human baby sitter it can give you peace of mind while you are at work. Most wireless IP cameras also have audio so you can also hear whats going on even if you can’t see the picture, this can help if your are at work and can’t keep an eye on your monitor all the time. Some day care centers have IP cameras set up so parents can check in on their children as well. We live in a great age.
