It can be a really good idea to have a wireless camera with a biult in mic. This feature can be realy handy for watching children or even an elderly parent. When this mic pics up sound it will transmit it to you and you can the reference your monitor to see what is going on in the next room. This can allow you to tend to others while just a glance away from your sleeping child for instance. Not a bad idea for peace of mind.
